DESCRIPTION:The GKV cordially invites all its member companies and those of the sponsoring associations to the intensive seminar on crisis management and crisis communication on November 12/13\, 2025 in Frankfurt am Main. \nFor small and medium-sized companies in particular\, communication during a crisis can be crucial to their survival – regardless of whether it is an accident\, a product crisis or a compliance breach. Emergency services and authorities need information\, politicians and journalists need a point of contact and employees need a perspective. Messages should be developed and questions answered before reporting and public opinion change. There is no substitute for preparation and planning in the event of a crisis.\nWith a practical mix of workshop and intensive exercise\, our crisis-experienced communications expert Dr. Hans-Georg Klose puts the participants into “crisis mode”: How can a company still function when “the house is on fire” or the public prosecutor is at the door with a search warrant? Transport accidents\, product recalls or cyber attacks – prevention is essential in all cases. SUMMARY:Basic seminar "Bio-composites - sustainable fiber composites"
DESCRIPTION:In the production of biocomposites\, a matrix material (plastic) is processed with fibers as a reinforcing material\, whereby at least one component must be obtained from a renewable resource by definition.\nThis results in new sustainable materials that have exceptional mechanical properties and can be used in lightweight construction.\nFibers made from flax\, hemp or jute are often used as reinforcing fibers\, which are increasingly competing with the predominant synthetic fibers due to their high specific properties.\nThe thermoplastic or thermoset matrix systems can also be partially or predominantly bio-based.    Basically\, bio-based fiber composites can be processed using conventional manufacturing processes.\nHowever\, there are still challenges to fully exploiting the potential of this class of fiber composites.\nBio-composites are currently used in the automotive industry in particular\, for example for interior fittings or body parts.\nHowever\, bio-based composites have also established themselves in the sporting goods industry or as a material for furniture. DESCRIPTION:The GKV cordially invites you to the information day on occupational and operational safety in the plastics processing industry on Wednesday\, November 13\, 2024\, 10.30 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Frankfurt am Main\, AVK office. Unfortunately\, accidents and incidents at work\, including major incidents such as fire damage\, also occur time and again in companies in the plastics processing industry. After accidents at work and loss events\, the question regularly arises as to whether the company was adequately prepared for the occurrence of these events. Were adequate precautions taken? What does suitable “incident management” look like? Who is liable for the consequences\, e.g. personal injury or business interruption for customers? What damage is covered by insurance and employers’ liability insurance associations?\nInterested companies in the sector can discuss these and other questions with expert speakers from the fields of occupational safety\, insurance and business practice at an information day on November 13\, 2024. The event is aimed at managing directors\, plant managers and safety officers in companies in the plastics processing industry. The number of places is limited.
