DESCRIPTION:Fiber-reinforced plastics have long since established themselves as an alternative to traditional materials in rail vehicle construction. At the same time\, competition in the rail vehicle market is constantly increasing. However\, challenges posed by new drive systems\, innovative manufacturing techniques – e.g. additive manufacturing – and joining processes are also increasingly attracting attention and offer potential for the use of the innovative lightweight material FRP. The conference will showcase innovations in material development\, processing and application for use in rail vehicle construction.
