At the same time, the current structural changes in the mobility sector are creating numerous opportunities for new material systems and new applications. Fiber-reinforced plastics offer ideal conditions for this, as they combine lightweight construction with high mechanical strength, extensive design freedom, corrosion resistance, and excellent electrical insulation properties. They are used, among other things, in battery housings, structural components, body components, and thermal management components, and help to increase safety, efficiency, and range.
