The GKV is the <strong>umbrella organization of the plastics processing associations in Germany<\/strong>, an association of associations. Its members represent the various plastics processing sectors. Other supporting associations of the GKV are:   <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsk-vsv.de\/\">FSK<\/a> &#8211; Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e. V.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kunststoffverpackungen.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IK<\/a> Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e. V.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-kunststoff.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pro-K<\/a> &#8211; Industrieverband Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff e. V.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eppa-profiles.de\/\">EPPA <\/a>Germany e.V.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AVK is part of the WVK (Wirtschaftsvereinigung Kunststoffe) through its GKV membership.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are actively involved in the<a href=\"https:\/\/dein-kunststoff.de\/\">&#8220;We are plastic<\/a>&#8221; initiative through our membership of the GKV.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sponsors of the &#8220;Your Plastics&#8221; information service are the largest associations of plastics manufacturers, the plastics processing industry and plastics machinery manufacturers. The initiative is led by the Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e. V. and its four supporting associations as well as PlasticsEurope Deutschland e. V. and VDMA e.V. &#8211; Plastics and Rubber Machinery. <\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dein-kunststoff.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dein-kunststoff.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/GKV_Wir-Sind-Kunststoff-300x126.jpg\" alt=\"GKV Wir Sind Kunststoff - Initiative for a more circular economy\" class=\"wp-image-1054\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since mid-2021, the platform has been pooling experience and expertise under the umbrella of the &#8220;We are plastics&#8221; initiative. Together, we want to drive forward the open exchange and dialog on <a href=\"https:\/\/dein-kunststoff.de\/zukunft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">innovations<\/a> and sustainable developments in the plastics industry towards <a href=\"https:\/\/dein-kunststoff.de\/nachhaltiger-kreislauf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a circular economy<\/a>. <br\/><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-fixed-layout\" style=\"background-color:#0093dd\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>AI PRICE REPORT<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In cooperation with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kiweb.de\">Kunststoff Information Verlagsgesellschaft<\/a> we publish <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avk-tv.de\/en\/ai-price-report\/\">here<\/a>\n<\/strong> the latest KI price report on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-fixed-layout\" style=\"background-color:#0093dd\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>PROJECTS<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FiberEUse Project<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The project has been successfully completed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Large scale demonstration of new circular economy value-chains based on the reuse of end-of-life fiber reinforced composites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Glass and carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites (GFRP and CFRP) are increasingly used as structural materials in many manufacturing sectors like transport, constructions and energy due to their better lightweight and corrosion resistance compared to metals. Composite recycling is a challenging task. Although mechanical grinding and pyrolysis reached a quite high TRL, landfilling of EoL composites is still widespread since no significant added value in the reuse and remanufacturing of composites is demonstrated.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FiberEUse (GA No. H2020-730323-1) aims to integrate various innovation initiatives through a holistic approach to enhance the profitability of composite recycling and reuse in value-added products. Through new cloud-based ICT solutions for value chain integration, the identification of new markets, the analysis of legislative barriers, and life cycle assessments of various reverse logistics options, FiberEUse will support the industry in its transition to a circular economy model for composites. FiberEUse is a \u20ac9.8 million research project funded by the European Union since June 2017 and involving 20 partners from 7 EU countries.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fibereuse.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.fibereuse.eu  <\/a><\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>Project FIBREGY<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since January 2021, AVK has been a partner in a European project funded by the EU. The central topic is the future use of composites in the field of renewable energies. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FIBGREGY stands for: Development, engineering, production and life cycle management of improved FIBRE-based material solutions for the structure and functional components of large offshore wind enerGY and tidal power platforms<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The overall objective of the FIBREGY project is to enable the extensive use of FRP materials in the structure of the next generation of large Offshore Wind and Tidal Stream (OWTS) platforms by overcoming the above mentioned challenges. In order to achieve this objective, the project will develop, qualify and audit innovative FRP materials for offshore applications, elaborate new design procedures and guidelines, generate efficient production, inspection and monitoring methodologies, and validate and demonstrate advanced software analysis tools. Clear performance indicators will be designed and applied in the evaluation of two existing OWTS concepts to be re-engineered in FRP within the project. Finally, the different technologies generated in FIBREGY will be demonstrated by using advanced simulation techniques and building a real-scale prototype to validate the materials, tools, solutions, procedures and guidelines to be developed in FIBREGY.   <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RECREATE Project<\/h4>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RECREATE &#8211; Recycling technologies for recyclable fiber-reinforced plastics<\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main objective of the EU RECREATE project is to develop innovative technologies to promote the profitable reuse of end-of-life composite components for industrial applications. This enables us to ensure that our concerns are not &#8220;only&#8221; recognized in the German composites industry, but also far beyond. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Composites Germany<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AVK is one of the founding members of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.composites-germany.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Composites Germany<\/a>. AVK currently provides the Chairman of the Management Board and the Spokesman of the Management Board. Other members of the umbrella organization of the German composites industry are  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Composites United e. V.<a href=\"https:\/\/composites-united.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(CU<\/a>) and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(as an associated partner) the VDMA Hybrid Lightweight Technologies Working Group<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdma.org\/hybride-leichtbau-technologien\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(VDMA<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of the umbrella organization is to strengthen the German composites industry and research, define common positions and safeguard overarching interests.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-fixed-layout\" style=\"background-color:#0093dd\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>COMPOSITES \u2013 INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AVK is a member of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eucia.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EuCIA<\/a>, the European umbrella organization of the composites industry.
