{"id":10843,"date":"2026-05-08T10:44:46","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T08:44:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.avk-tv.de\/flame-retardancy-conference-in-berlin-flame-retardancy-for-composite-applications-2\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T10:45:26","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T08:45:26","slug":"flame-retardancy-conference-in-berlin-flame-retardancy-for-composite-applications-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.avk-tv.de\/en\/flame-retardancy-conference-in-berlin-flame-retardancy-for-composite-applications-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Flame retardancy conference in Berlin: Flame Retardancy for Composite Applications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the success of the first two events, the third edition of the symposium on flame retardancy will now take place in Berlin on 18-19 November 2026, organized by the AVK &#8211; Industrievereinigung Verst\u00e4rkte Kunststoffe e.V. in cooperation with the FGK &#8211; Forschungsgesellschaft Kunststoffe e.V.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The focus of the event is on construction\/infrastructure and mobility applications.<br\/>Components made from fiber-reinforced plastics\/composites that are manufactured for these sectors often have to have specific flame-retardant properties.<br\/><br\/>Over the course of one and a half days, 15 compact presentations will provide information on new developments, requirements and innovations in the fields of material and process development, public transport, sustainability\/recycling, construction\/infrastructure, mobility, standardization and testing.<br\/><br\/>The diverse presentation titles range from new possibilities with graphite in halogen-free flame retardants to environmentally friendly flame retardants for natural fibers and innovative applications in local public transport.<br\/><br\/>16 experts from industry representatives such as Ensinger Composites Schweiz GmbH, Polynt GmbH or Schill+Seilacher &#8220;Struktol&#8221; GmbH as well as from institutes such as the Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut f\u00fcr Werk- und Betriebsstoffe and the Bundesanstalt f\u00fcr Materialforschung und -pr\u00fcfung (BAM) will pass on their knowledge.<br\/>The conference program is now available.
