On September 22 and 23, 2026, the AVK hosted the \u201cComposites for Series Production\u201d<\/strong> intensive seminar on SMC\/BMC at BYK-Chemie in Wesel. The event offered participants a concise overview of the materials, their processing, and their wide range of applications. <\/p>\n\n SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) and BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) are well-established material groups in the mobility and infrastructure sectors. At the same time, they open up interesting prospects for future applications\u2014for example, in electric mobility. The seminar covered a wide range of topics: Participants received a comprehensive overview, ranging from the fundamentals of the materials to design and manufacturing processes, as well as their advantages, potential applications, trends, and cost-effectiveness. <\/p>\n\n Special thanks go to the speakers, who shared their expertise and practical experience, thereby shedding light on the various facets of SMC\/BMC technology.
