But anyone who knows the plastics industry as a whole knows how sustainable solutions with plastics can be. Fiber-reinforced plastics have nothing to hide here either.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It starts, for example, with lightweight construction, continues with durability and low maintenance and ends with the recyclability of composites. We are delighted that so many of our member institutes wanted to show us their research and developments for this issue.<br\/>Nevertheless, we would also like to take a look at innovations that are already well known: Winners of the prestigious AVK Innovation Award. We wanted to know what has become of the innovations. The<br\/>This issue begins with the IVW, Leibniz Institute for Composite Materials, which, together with the company<br\/>M. A.
