In the run-up to the elections to the European<br\/>Parliament, the GKV drew up a report on the<br\/>Evening on Tuesday, 04.06.2024, at the German Parliamentary Society<br\/>in Berlin, the results were mixed. After her welcoming remarks, Dr.<br\/>Helen F\u00fcrst, President of the GKV, with J\u00fcrgen Kretz, Member of the Bundestag (B\u00fcndnis 90\/Die Gr\u00fcnen),<br\/>Judith Skudelny, Member of Parliament (FDP), Dr. Anja Weisgerber, Member of Parliament (CDU\/CSU) and Tom Ohlendorf,<br\/>WWF Germany. The panel discussion was moderated by the journalist<br\/>Anke Pl\u00e4ttner.<br\/>The plastics strategy was also accompanied by hopes on the part of industry for additional<br\/>value creation. These hopes have hardly been fulfilled so far.<br\/>Instead, it is the enormous increase in bureaucracy and new, in some cases<br\/>inadequately thought-out legislation. &#8220;In many cases, plastic is<br\/>the greener solution. The transformation of the plastics industry to a circular economy<br\/>is very complex.
