Call for Papers open<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Saxon Textile Research Institute e.V. (STFI) is organizing the 17th TEXTILE FILTER symposium on\n11. and\nMarch 12, 2025 in Chemnitz.\nThe symposium will look at innovative, high-performance textile filter media for various applications and systems for air, gas, liquid and particle filtration against the backdrop of changing technology.\nThe conference offers the opportunity to intensify cooperation between R&D and industry and to gain new impetus for filter media design. <\/p>\n\n

What topics are the experts talking about?<\/strong>In terms of sustainability, minimizing air and water pollution, reducing environmental and health impacts and conserving resources are among the ongoing trends in filter media development.\nThese measures go hand in hand with increasing filter service life and maximizing economic efficiency. High-quality filter media will take on additional tasks in the future, such as protecting electrical components from liquids and particles.\nThe shift in the automotive industry towards e-mobility also requires new, forward-looking filtration solutions.\nIn modern manufacturing, production is becoming increasingly digitalized.\nSmart filters monitor operating parameters, and Filter 4.0 supports digital maintenance and inspection schedules, which enables near-real-time new approaches in the organization and control of filter systems. Another important trend in filter media development is the use of biodegradable materials that can be completely degraded in an environmentally friendly way at the end of their useful life.\nThe integration of nanotechnology enables the production of filter media with improved efficiency and lower permeability for harmful particles.\nIn addition, innovative developments are leading to self-cleaning filter media that significantly increase the service life and efficiency of the filters.
