Startup Booster is the leading startup competition in the field of composite and advanced
materials. The next edition of Startup Booster will take place during JEC World 2027 on March 2–4, 2027, at the Parc des expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. Startups can apply by October 19.

The JEC Composites Startup Booster is the leading startup competition in the world of composites and advanced materials. Launched in 2017, Startup Booster has already fostered the emergence of more than 1,500 innovative projects, 150 finalists from 31 countries, and 29 winners, including CompPair, FibreCoat, Soundbounce by Lios, Composite Recycling, Perseus Materials, Soarce, Strong by Form, Woodoo, Tree Composites…

The competition is open to entrepreneurs, startups, and academic spin-offs developing innovative projects in the field of composites and advanced materials. The Startup Booster competition is seeking startups in the following areas of innovation:

  • Raw Materials (fibers, resins, additives, fillers, coatings, etc.)
  • Semi-finished materials (prepreg, textiles, UD tape, etc.)
  • Manufacturing Process or Equipment
  • Digital (materials informatics, software, data, AI)
  • Circularity & Recycling Solutions

Twenty startups will be selected to participate in JEC WORLD 2027 from March 2 to 4 to pitch to a jury of industry experts and materials investors.

The 20 finalists will benefit from:

  • A Pitching Session and Investors at JEC World
  • Registrations for JEC World
  • A space within the Startup Village at JEC World (with the opportunity to showcase your innovation)
  • Online Visibility (website, press release, email marketing, and social media)
  • Personal coaching for the pitch before the show
  • Direct access to the Startup Booster jury members and partners
  • Your pitch session will be broadcast on JEC Composites Web TV.
  • Access to JEC Investor Day (One-on-one meetings with investors)

Out of the 20 finalists, the jury will select 3 winners:

  • 1 Grand Winner
  • 1 Runner-up
  • 1 winner in the “Sustainability” category

There will be 3 winners who will receive a package that includes:

  • A cash prize (5,000€ for the Grand Winner, 2,500€ for the Runner-up, 2,500€ for the Sustainability Award)
  • A fully equipped booth at JEC World 2027
  • A trophy made of composite materials
  • A media package (advertisement and interview on JEC Channel)
