Joint Circular Economy Forum: Composite Materials and Composites – Textiles in Second Life

3. February - 10:00 - 16:00

The topic of the circular economy is attracting increasing interest from companies in both associations. The reasons for this are securing raw materials, conserving virgin materials and resource efficiency. In addition, the more sustainable use of materials in product development offers the opportunity to position oneself in a more ecological and economically advantageous way.
Sustainability offers enormous potential for both industries and there are numerous interfaces for cooperation. The topic offers enormous possibilities and opportunities, but there are also challenges.

We would like to clarify open questions and the state of the art with experts from the world of fiber-reinforced plastics/composites and fibers, as well as with a mechanical textile recycler and a chemical recycler. Other guests will bring funding programs and experience from processing industries or waste disposal.
Our aim is to promote dialogue, facilitate exchange and, if necessary, create the basis for joint projects!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
✅ Up-to-date insights into the circular economy, textile recycling and fiber-based composite plastics
✅ Exchange in working groups with experts
✅ Concrete impulses for projects, funding opportunities and cooperations
✅ Contacts between the textile, plastics and recycling industries
