RECREATE webinar: Giving Composites a Second Life: Reuse and Remanufacturing

The session will be opened by Volker Mathes from AVK, who will talk about the sustainability of composites and the challenges and opportunities of their reuse in a circular economy. Ines Sma from CNRS/PIMM will present the laser shock method – an advanced and efficient technique for disassembling composites that enables easier recovery and reuse of components. Bonaventura Vitolo from GEVEN will provide insights from the aerospace industry, focusing on the reuse of carbon fiber reinforced composite parts and how these practices can contribute to a more sustainable manufacturing of aircraft interiors.
