Draft of a national circular economy strategy (NKWS)

The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) has published the draft for the first National Circular Economy Strategy for Germany.
The concept includes important concepts for plastics.

The AVK – Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V. was involved in the development of this document.

The draft aims to promote a sustainable and resource-efficient economy in Germany. The main objectives are to reduce the consumption of raw materials, improve recycling, avoid waste and promote environmentally friendly product design. The strategy also aims to develop markets for recycled materials, adapt regulatory frameworks and strengthen international cooperation in order to establish a circular economy that brings ecological, economic and social benefits.
