Institute of Textile Technology (ITA) at RWTH Aachen University

The winners of the PROSE AWARD 2025 were announced on March 5, 2025.
Roshan Paul and Prof. Dr. Thomas Gries from the Institute of Textile Technology (ITA) at RWTH Aachen University were honored as winners in the Engineering and Technology category for their book “Sustainable Innovations in the Textile Industry”.

Every year since 1976, the Association of American Publishers Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence (PROSE Awards) have honored authors, editors, and publishers whose groundbreaking works have made significant advances in their respective fields.

“The PROSE AWARD is one of the highest honors a book can receive,” enthuses Roshan Paul. “This award is the result of our synergistic teamwork with all the authors of the chapter and a dream come true.” Thomas Gries adds: “As part of the ITA Group International Center for Sustainable Textiles, ITA has been researching sustainable textiles at full speed for several years. The results of this research form the basis for our book. In this way, we are living up to our claim ‘Textile Innovations – Sustainable. Digital. Individual.'”
