Fiber-reinforced thermoplastic pipes are a relatively new class of materials that have only been increasingly used in mass production since the 2000s. However, due to their outstanding properties, the potential of these materials is generally considered to be very high.
The growing interest in these materials has led to the formation of a special working group at the AVK, in which experts from across the entire value chain are intensively examining potential applications and the further development of the technology.
Since then, it has been well received in a wide range of applications. These include, for example, the automotive (OEMs), shipbuilding, aviation, and infrastructure/construction sectors.
