The Augsburg-based start-up fibclick is one of the 20 finalists in the JEC Startup Booster, the world’s most important competition for up-and-coming companies in the lightweight construction industry. This selection enables fibclick to present its technology at JEC World 2025, the leading international trade fair for lightweight construction in Paris.
The JEC Startup Booster is aimed at innovative startups that are advancing the areas of materials, processes and sustainability in the lightweight construction industry with new solutions. fibclick will present its platform, which specializes in the automation and digitalization of manufacturing processes, to an international audience of industry experts and a jury of industry experts as part of the competition.
Software for production simulation with a focus on pultrusion
fibclick is developing a software platform that automates the design and manufacturing process for tools and system assemblies in the plastics and lightweight construction industry. Customers can upload technical drawings via the platform, on the basis of which the software automatically simulates, calculates and designs tools. With the help of AI algorithms and digital twins, development is made more efficient, development times can be reduced by up to 50% and product quality can be increased.
The focus of fibclick is currently on the pultrusion process, which plays a central role in the manufacture of fiber-reinforced plastic products. Through years of practical experience, the founders have analyzed the challenges faced by pultruders and developed practical solutions with their software, such as the automatic calculation and design of pultrusion tools. These enable the production of complex geometries even without extensive experience. In the long term, fibclick plans to expand the platform to other manufacturing processes such as extrusion and injection molding.
Niklas Paprotta, co-founder of fibclick, explains: ” Being selected as a finalist for the JEC Startup Booster is a confirmation of the need for our technology. We look forward to talking to industry experts at JEC World and further developing our platform.”
Presentation at the JEC World 2025
