General Association of the Plastics Processing Industry (GKV)
The world’s leading trade fair for the plastics industry – K 2025 – took place in Düsseldorf from October 8 to 15, 2025. Under the K 2025 slogan “The Power of Plastics: Green – Smart – Responsible”, K 2025 presented the key themes of Shaping the circular economy, Embracing digitalization and Caring about people, which met with a great response from trade fair visitors. The plastics processing industry drew a positive balance of the trade fair.
Exhibitors praise good discussions and internationality
Exhibitors from the fields of semi-finished products, fiber-reinforced plastics and technical parts praised the once again very good number of visitors at K 2025, the further increase in internationality and the good discussions at decision-maker level. Participation in the trade fair was worthwhile for the exhibiting plastics processing companies.
Sustainability an important topic of discussion
The trade fair guests took the opportunity to discuss how to strengthen the sustainability of the plastics value chain. The international exchange on progress in the recycling of plastic waste and the expansion of the circular economy was intensified during K 2025. The new edition of the “Global Plastics Flow” study, which was presented to the international trade media on the first day of the trade fair, provides a good basis and stimulus for exchange on this extremely important topic.
Young Talents in focus
For the first time, Young Talents had a permanent point of contact at the K exhibition grounds with the special format Young Talents Lounge by GKV, which was well received. Events such as the Guided Tour for Young Talents and various information and discussion events at various trade fair stands rounded off the program for young talents at K 2025.
