Lüdenscheid Plastics Institute
Since July, the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid has also been recognized as an approved and listed test laboratory for combustion testing (LP.7M079) by the international automotive group Stellantis – in addition to numerous other OEMs.
The basis for this recognition is the existing accreditation in accordance with relevant standards such as DIN EN ISO 3795 and FMVSS 302, which have already been established at KIMW for several years.
Stellantis unites brands such as Peugeot, Fiat, Opel and Jeep under one roof and is one of the world’s largest vehicle manufacturers. Recognition by such a global player underlines the high quality and reliability of the institute’s testing services.
Accreditations in the testing sector are essential as they guarantee compliance with international standards and ensure an objective, comprehensible assessment. For customers, being listed as a recognized testing laboratory means a considerable simplification in project processing: test reports are accepted directly, additional validations are no longer necessary and the time-to-market can be significantly shortened.
