| VERNETZUNG MIT DER KUNSTSTOFFINDUSTRIE |
Die AVK ist einer der fünf Trägerverbände des GKV (Gesamtverband der Kunststoffverarbeitenden Industrie) und dort sowohl in der Geschäftsleitung als auch im Vorstand vertreten. Der GKV ist die Dachorganisation der Kunststoffverarbeiterverbände in Deutschland, ein Verband der Verbände. Seine Mitglieder repräsentieren die unterschiedlichen Branchen der Kunststoffverarbeitung. Weitere Trägerverbände des GKV sind:
- FSK – Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e. V.
- IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e. V.
- pro-K – Industrieverband Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff e. V.
- EPPA Deutschland e.V.
Über die GKV-Mitgliedschaft ist die AVK Teil der WVK (Wirtschaftsvereinigung Kunststoffe).
Über unsere Mitgliedschaft beim GKV beteiligen wir uns aktiv an der Initiative „Wir sind Kunststoff„.
Träger des Informationsangebots „Dein Kunststoff“ sind die größten Verbände der Kunststoffhersteller, der Kunststoffverarbeitenden Industrie und des Kunststoffmaschinenbaus. Die Initiative wird angeführt durch den Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e. V. und seine vier Trägerverbände sowie von PlasticsEurope Deutschland e. V. und dem VDMA e.V. – Kunststoff- und Gummimaschinen.
Seit Mitte 2021 werden auf der Plattform Erfahrungen und Know-how unter dem Dach der Initiative „Wir sind Kunststoff“ gebündelt. Gemeinsam wollen wir den offenen Austausch und Dialog zu Innovationen und nachhaltigen Entwicklungen der Kunststoffindustrie in Richtung Kreislaufwirtschaft vorantreiben.

FiberEUse Project
Das Projekt ist erfolgreich abgeschlossen
Large scale demonstration of new circular economy value-chains based on the reuse of end-of-life fiber reinforced composites
Glass and carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites (GFRP and CFRP) are increasingly used as structural materials in many manufacturing sectors like transport, constructions and energy due to their better lightweight and corrosion resistance compared to metals. Composite recycling is a challenging task. Although mechanical grinding and pyrolysis reached a quite high TRL, landfilling of EoL composites is still widespread since no significant added value in the reuse and remanufacturing of composites is demonstrated.
FiberEUse (GA No. H2020-730323-1) aims at integrating different innovation actions through a holistic approach to enhance profitability of composite recycling and reuse in value-added products. Through new cloud-based ICT solutions for value-chain integration, scouting of new markets, analysis of legislation barriers, life cycle assessment for different reverse logistic options, FiberEUse will support industry in the transition to a circular economy model for composites. FiberEUse is a €9.8 million research project funded by the European Union since June 2017 and collaborating with 20 partners from 7 EU countries.
Project FIBREGY
Seit Januar 2021 ist die AVK-Partner in einem Europäischen Projekt, welches durch die EU gefördert wird. Zentrales Thema ist die zukünftige Verwednung von Composites im Bereich erneuerbare Energien.
FIBGREGY steht für: Development, engineering, production and life cycle management of improved FIBRE-based material solutions for the structure and functional components of large offshore wind enerGY and tidal power platforms
The overall objective of the FIBREGY project is to enable the extensive use of FRP materials in the structure of the next generation of large Offshore Wind and Tidal Stream (OWTS) platforms by overcoming the above mentioned challenges. In order to achieve this objective, the project will develop, qualify and audit innovative FRP materials for offshore applications, elaborate new design procedures and guidelines, generate efficient production, inspection and monitoring methodologies, and validate and demonstrate advanced software analysis tools. Clear performance indicators will be designed and applied in the evaluation of two existing OWTS concepts to be re-engineered in FRP within the project. Finally, the different technologies generated in FIBREGY will be demonstrated by using advanced simulation techniques and building a real-scale prototype to validate the materials, tools, solutions, procedures and guidelines to be developed in FIBREGY.
RECREATE Project
RECREATE – Recyclingtechnologien für kreislauffähige Faserverbundkunststoffe
Das Hauptziel des EU-Projekts RECREATE ist die Entwicklung von innovativen Technologien zur Förderung der profitablen Wiederverwendung von End-of-Life-Verbundwerkstoff-Komponenten für industrielle Anwendungen. Das Projekt gliedert sich in verschiedene technologische Use-Cases und adressiert eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Zielsektoren wie Windenergie oder Automobilindustrie.

Composites Germany
Die AVK ist eines der Gründungsmitglieder von Composites Germany. Die AVK stellt derzeit den Vorstandsvorsitzenden und den Sprecher der Geschäftsführung. Weitere Mitglieder in der Dachorganisation der deutschen Composites-Industrie sind:
- Composites United e. V. (CU) und
- (als assoziierter Partner) die VDMA Arbeitsgemeinschaft Hybride Leichtbau Technologien (VDMA).
Zweck der Dachorganisation ist es, die deutsche Composites-Industrie und -Forschung zu stärken, gemeinsame Positionen zu bestimmen und übergreifende Interessen wahrzunehmen.

Launched in 2017, Startup Booster has already fostered the emergence of 1,500+ innovative projects, 150 finalists from 31 countries, and 29 winners including CompPair, FibreCoat, Soundbounce by Lios, Composite Recycling, Perseus Materials, Soarce, Strong by Form, Woodoo, Tree Composites…
The competition is opened to entrepreneurs, startups and academic spinoffs building innovative projects in the field of Composites & Advanced Materials. Startup Booster competition is looking for startups in the following fields of innovation:
- Raw Materials (fibers, resins, additives, fillers, coatings, etc.)
- Semi-finished materials (prepreg, textiles, UD Tape, etc)
- Manufacturing Process or Equipment
- Digital (material informatics, software, data, AI)
- Circularity & Recycling Solutions
20 Startups will be selected to participate in JEC WORLD 2027 on March 2 to 4 to pitch in front of a jury composed of industry experts and materials investors.
The 20 finalists will benefit from:
